Man alive! I worked til 11am. I left at 11:15. Someone said the snow just started. Figured, need to leave right away, can't be that bad if it just started. OMG! I've never panicked before while driving and I did several times. The snow was so thick immediately, which made the roads just white. Could kinda see tire tracks. The visability was so poor, very poor. Everyone had their lights on, but still, you couldn't see them till you were almost up to them. There was a few times that the road completely disappeared and all I could see was white. Gah! One time the one coming traffic looked way to close to my side of the road, I moved over and was driving on the noise maker thing on the shoulder. I would've gone in the ditch if I had to, but I felt ok. I've kinda looked at the side of the roads before and it doesn't appear to be bad if you were to go off the road. Not a ditch, more like going down a little bit but in field or driveway.
I was so glad when I got halfway home. It turns into a 4 lane road with a median in between. So no head-ons to worry about. But have to worry about the lights that you can't really see. I know when the lights are coming so pretty much prepare for it to be red. Then back to the 2 lane again, this time it seemed more clear. I was so glad to be home. When I was telling Roger about my drive, I realized I was shaking. Ish!
Tonight we had plans to go out with Robin and Jason to get the "best" pizza and beer. Our other bowling couple had already bailed. Then Robin and I said (closer to the time) that it's not worth it.
Roger and I ordered pizza and picked it up and stop at the liquor store. It's only a mile down the road, that was far enough to go. I didn't want to order pizza and make someone drive. We haven't ordered from them, it was good. But just good.
I'm so glad for the 3 day weekend! So glad I don't have to worry about driving in the morning. It's still snowing. According the the news, we're in the range that has gotten, oh what did it say, 5 inches?
It says 6-8 inches so far

weekend
I went to the party (pure pleasure party) on Friday. It wasn't too bad. I was glad Roger went with because it was snowing and actually the driving was not good at all. The guys hung out downstairs while we had the party upstairs. Right when it was over we left. We didn't get home til almost 11:30pm. I had to work the next morning, that was why I rushed out. I didn't order anything. The first half the party was all lotion, sprays, body glitter. Stuff that seems like you can get anywhere. I know it's different but whatever. I wasn't going to pay $25 for a 4oz thing of glitter get or 4oz of anything.
Last night was our night off from bowling. When I got home from work, Roger suggested we go up there to watch/hang out. So we did. Looks like I might be hosting a lingerie party sometime??? One of the cousins that was at the party and at bowling, is having an organic party on Saturday. Another cousin, that was also at the party and at bowling, was saying that she bringing me to the party with her. Supposively she gets a free gift for bringing someone. Just because I went to one party doesn't mean I want to go to them all. I have no need for lotions or soaps. Plus we're going Moonlight bowling Saturday night and we have half the alley so far. Then see them all again on Sunday at bowling (league).
Also Thursday we might go to a Pizza place. Our bowling waitress was telling us that her sister works at this place and it's the best pizza ever. Thursday night they have a deal from 5-8 or 6-9 (she couldn't remember exactly), I think it's pizza buffet and beer. So cousins that are on our bowling team (Robin and Jason) and us were talking about doing that. I have Friday off and Robin works from home Friday. Either way, we're suppose to call our waitress. She's going to try to join us if we go.
Robin said she got a Wii Fit yesterday. While she was telling me she said "shoot, I should've got one for you". I really really want one. She told me that I should go up there today. She got it yesterday. But the drive, about a half hour, to Target, it's not going to be there today. She calls that Target "Ghetto". There's a Target several miles down the road that connected to the mall, so everyone goes there instead. Also this Target is probably hurting because the bridge is down and has been for over a year now. They took the bridge down over the Mississippi shortly after the 35W bridge collasped. But since that was a tragic thing and a busy busy spot, they were able to fix that asap. This bridge is not as important. But it makes Roger glad that he's done with school. That's the exit he always took to college. The college is right on the other side of the river.
Anywho, enough about that stupid Target anyways. I just don't think it'd be worth the drive.

Heard thru the Grapevine - vent
I keep hearing news thru the grapevine and it's kinda making me sad/upset. I wish I'd hear this stuff from the person. I'm glad to be filled in but, oh well.
I keep hearing things from my mom that my brother said that my cousin Pam (my maid of honor) such and such. I don't know why I'm surprised because we don't really talk much during the winter. We catch up at the cabin or when I get my hair done (which is twice a year now). I've tried calling and texting. She doesn't really reply to texting even though when I see her she's texting a lot.
The first news from my mom from my brother is that Pam finally bought a house! I know she's been wanting this so bad for so long. She's living with mom and they work together. She needs space from her mom, which it sounds like they never really see each other anyway. Anywho, so I text her "I heard thru the grapevine you bought a house? Congrats!" She writes back "yeah I can't wait to have you guys over." I write back "Any more details? Location?" Haven't heard anything since.
Now I got a voicemail from my mom (I was napping) she said my brother said that Pam fell on the ice and broke her hand. So she can't do hair for 2 months. So no tips. She's in the stage where she can back out of the house and might back out. Poor thing!
The other grapevine news is my other cousin, Pam's sister Stacey. My brother told me his wife said that cousin told her that she got engaged! I texted Stacey and she wrote back and we've emailed couple times. I'm really excited for her. They've been together as long as Roger and I have. She mentioned that she's glad that the word is spreading because she's bad at announcing things.
I'm glad to be filled in with news. I'm just a little bugged that I have to keep hearing these things thru the grapevine. These two people are the cousins I'm closest to, especially Pam.
I'm sure my brother is finding this stuff out because they do live closer so sometimes he calls Pam up to see what bar she's at and whatever or something. I don't have a reason to call my cousins up. They're not really phone chit chatters.
I know it shouldn't bother me because we don't chat much during the winter, but these are really big events and we're closer than that.
Oh also, thru the grapevine, months ago I found out from my mom from my brother that Pam and her long time boyfriend (whom she felt she could marry someday and before that never understood why anyone gets married) split. She put it on hold. I know this has to be hard for her. I want to be there for her but how can I if she doesn't come to me first? I got my hair done in Oct or Nov. and I talked to her about it. At Christmas kinda too. Now I feel like I just have to watch her "it's complicated" boyfriend's facebook page.
The other thing too that has kinda bugged me is that she has not once asked me how I'm doing ever since I found out about my eye thing. At Thanksgiving (weekend) when everyone was around the campfire she told me that she told our aunt (who is always there for problems and kinda wants to get to the root of it, sometimes it's too much) that she should let me enjoy the weekend and not bring it up or something like that and that I'm doing fine. What? Yeah I was worried that my aunt was going to be a downer but to tell her I'm doing fine and handling my own? You've never asked me! My aunt and I talked all night about the problem and I'm glad finally someone talked to me about this. If you ask me how I am, I'm going to say "fine", but if you really ask me (then anyways, I'm better now) I'd say "this has been the worst year of my life".
And you're probably wondering why this cousin means so much to me. I'm going to have to write about that some other time.

Veggie Garden
I'm going to start a veggie garden inside in March. We have a room that gets lots of sunlight and I can close the door so the cats won't mess with it.
This is a picture of my first attemp at the garden. All the you can see is lettuce.
Previous owners had a veggie garden and I've tried it a couple times but fail. It's hard when you plant, make the rows, but when weeds starts coming up, what's the plant, what's the weed. Last fall I asked Roger if he could please fence in the garden for me this spring and I'll try my hardest to do better with it. We have rabbits in the area. It gets really frustrating thinking "oh it coming up good", bam it's gone.
I have a banquet fold up table, I'll put in that room. I made a list of what I want. Then hopefully when it's time to plant into the ground, everything has started. So then I can see the plant instead of wondering if it's a weed or not. Roger's parents have a tiller, so we'll borrow that.
I think I'm going to plant lettuce, cucumbers, brocolli, cauliflower, tomatoes, green beans. I already have asparugus out there that comes back every year and rhubarb.

So Sad
I so want to be pregnant. I've gone to the doctors a couple times. The first time it ended up being a midwife. So the next visit she sent me to an OB because she doesn't deal with infertility. I didn't like this OB. I could barely understand her. Well she said everything looked good and the next step is the HSG. We're not sure if our insurance covers it at all. We're going to call but haven't yet. I had called that OB back to see what it was the next step was (HSG) and if we didn't want to do that what's the next step. The answer was HSG. So I feel like I haven't gotten anywhere with help.
I decided I don't want to go back to her. I really want a female OB and she's the only one at that clinic which goes with that hospital. It's just nice because I can have a 1:00 appointment and make it because it's on my way home and close to home. So if I were to have a baby, the hospital is not far.
When I decide to go back to the doctor, I'm going to ask my friend who her female OB is/was. She had two OBs, a male and female. She had lots of problems, that's why she had two. That's not far from home either, just the other way. So if I'm working, I'd have to make a later appointment. Also the hospital is a half hour away. I know to do the HSG, it's at the hospital.
Money has gotten really tight, so I don't think we're going to do anything for awhile.
It's hard. Last cycle (while I was going to the doctors), I was sure I was pregnant. But nope. Oh well is all I can say. I'm not going to let it get me down, but it's hard. It's just stinks to be out of control. I'm not sure if anything is wrong with me or if I'm just ovulating late. My periods are all very normal and never missed. Just another thing that's not working on my body I guess.
Hopefully it'll happen soon and it'd be great if it just happened, but I don't think that's going to happen without help. Who knows.

How do you lose your wedding ring?
There's this lady that we bowl with that we think is kooky. She and her husband are nice, but once she gets too many drinks in her she's wacko. Well wacko period. This is our 4th year bowling. This couple just got married last July. They're really weird. (I know this post is starting out weird and yes I've been drinking. We got home from bowling a little bit ago )
When we were down bowling we hung around for a little while after we were done bowling. Roger was talking to the guy and another bowling guy. I was talking to the kooky lady and the bartender who was done working. Kooky lady was telling us how she lost her wedding ring at the bar. She was wearing her ring so we said "obviously you found it". She said she had lost it on a friday and the cops called her on Saturday saying they think they found it and it was it. She said she took her ring off to put on makeup. ???????????????. What???? Who takes their ring off to put on makeup?
About 2 years ago we were at a bar, I think it was at a meat raffle but after the raffle. Then she left with some guy, she told her guy before she left and he said fine. She left and came back like an hour later. She said they were at the bar down the street. Neither one of them were working at the time. And I hate to admit this but both Roger and I thought the same thing. Later we said it to each other, that's how I know we thought the same thing. We thought is she doing something for money? We never actually said the word but hooking? Or else we think it's drug related.
She had said something before they got married about how he had given her a ring before but she lost it. Now she's saying she had lost her ring putting on makeup in a bar. Hmmmmmm???
Now you're probably thinking that my drinking/drunk posts are more interesting!?!

Weekend with my mom
Roger went fishing with the guys (his cousins). My mom came on Friday and spent the weekend. She live 40 minutes away, not a big deal. But it just fun when she stays over. Friday I called MIL up and asked if MIL/FIL wanted to go out to eat with us. So the 4 of us went to this bar/grill in between our houses. That's nice. I was thinking afterwards that it's really nice that I'm fine with doing stuff with my parents in law without my husband.
Saturday we went to the mall in St. Cloud. We always usually got to Mall of America or somewhere where we always go. St. Cloud is an hour away from my parents and that's where I grew up. We never went to St. Cloud. We went there and holy moly! It was busy like Mall of America is in December! I don't like crowds like that but we shopped. I finally found a black sweater. I've been wanting black. Good deal. I also found some dice earrings. They're kinda like studs but dice. SIL that got married in Vegas is having a reception in June. We're all going to be wearing shirts that they had made for us. I thought the earrings would go with it.
We then ate at Applebee's close to my house. After we were done we just kept chit chatting. My mom had asked if we should go, seemed like all the tables were full. I could see the stand where the hostess is and the front door and nobody was there. We stayed a long time. When we walked out, I realize there's a waiting area that I couldn't see and it was just packed! I'm surprised our waiter didn't try to get us to leave. Oops!
Then we watched PS I love You and Walk the Line at home.
Today we just chit chatted. Ordered a pizza. The pizza we order is really good. My mom really likes it and wants it when she comes over. Then Roger came home. Mom left shortly after.
We bowl tonight and the cousin who's fish house it was is on our team. I believe we're bowling against the other cousin that was in their fishhouse too. Maybe us ladies will have to pick it up tonight to carry them.

Weekend Plans
This weekend Roger went fishing with the guys. The guys are 5 of his cousins and a couple other guys that are one of the guy's work buddies. I think they're about 3-4 hours away. He did this last year too.
My mom will be coming over later and staying the weekend. I'm not sure what we're going to do. I'm thinking tonight maybe we can go to Trails bar and grill right by my house. Then tomorrow we'll go to St. Cloud. Not sure what we'll do, shop? She hasn't been to St. Cloud very much. Then tomorrow night I'm thinking we'll order pizza. She really likes the pizza we order and they don't have it. I figured tomorrow we'll eat lunch somewhere maybe, so we can stay home to eat pizza. I don't know. Whatever we do, we'll have fun. Maybe we'll stop at Becker Furniture World. I'm curious how much a supoer single mattress cost.
I grew up with a super single waterbed. We have it in our guest room. Last summer we felt like it smelled in there and we were trying to find it. The bed didn't appear to be leaking, but I thought it smelled like icky water like it was leaking. We drained the waterbed and put it away. The smell is gone. We still have the frame up. I really like the bedframe. It needs to be sanded down and restained. My cousin had it before me and there's two name engraved on it. It's kinda silly to have this bedframe there and have to blow up a mattress to sleep on. The mattress is 18 inches thick and queen size. So I can't put it on the frame. Oh well. So I'd like to see how much a mattress cost. We rarely ever have anyone sleep over though. Also, if we ever have a baby (AF showed up today BTW), that'll be the baby room. So we'll have to take apart the bed frame and store it.
We'll I should get doing something productive. It's 1:30 now. My mom will probably be here around

Browsing Etsy
When I was at the State Fair last August, I saw this necklace I loved. But it was really expensive. I'm in love with dragonflies. I'm browing Etsy right now for anything Dragonfly. Not sure if I'll buy anything but I'm going to post things I like.
I just bought the item number 1. There was only 1, it's a dragonfly cuff bracelet.

Weekend
This weekend was fun. Roger and I headed up to the casino Friday. We found out on the way that his mom didn't have to babysit his sister's baby Saturday night. So they're going to stay both nights. They had the other sister's kid with them. I'm not sure why, but it was fun. He's 8. We got there about 2 hours before them and we couldn't check in because it's under his mom's name/card. So we gambled till they got there. She had tried getting us both non-smoking rooms since none of us smoke, but our room was smoking. It's weird, the hotel is two towers. There room was in the 400s, ours was 500s. We went up a floor and the numbers didn't go high enough. We had to go down to the lobby, other side of main entrance and back up to our room. We hit the seafood buffet and yummy! I could've seriously stayed there all night. They were all full and done, so I figured I should be done too.
Roger's dad had to work Saturday morning, so he didn't stay up too late on Friday. So he and the nephew went to bed and his mom was out with us. We went to bed about 4am Saturday. Then during the day our friends Chris and Kalin came. They're on our bowling team. I actually had worked with Chris in the bakery at Target. They got their room, smoking and they were on the same floor as Roger's parents. No fair! Not that it really mattered. We all hit the buffet that night too. I hope they didn't mind that Roger's parents and nephew joined us/them. Also before we ate, we hung out in C&K's room drinking. Roger and the nephew were swimming. They didn't seem to care. Roger's parents are really easy people to talk to so that helps. But kinda the whole point of Roger taking him swimming was so that they could go gamble. Oh well.
C&K and Roger and I gambled all night long. Finally at 6am, Roger and I said we're going to bed. Roger was down, I was up $40. I was down and then I hit big, to catch back up.
Roger and I were playing with some money that we got for Christmas. So really we didn't break the bank. Also the buffets were comp because Roger's parents and Chris gamble enough to have rewards. All the rooms were comps too.
Oh we spent a bit of time in arcade with the nephew. He ended up turning in the tickets on Sunday. We didn't see them so I don't know what his prizes were. I just know he had over 1k tickets. I figured out on skeeball how to hit the 100 and then Roger figured it out too.
